April 24 - 28, 2017.  Come join us for  a week of exceptional polygraph training and to celebrate our 40th anniversary!

Seminar Hours:

Sunday: 1:00PM - 5:45 PM Registration and  6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Presidents Reception (This event is included in your registration fee.);  Classroom training hours are from 8:00AM- 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.  The Tuesday Night Event is from 5:30 PM - 9:00PM (This event is included in the registration fee); The Annual Awards Banquet is  Thursday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (This event is included in your registration).

Event Location:  Marriott Westchase in Houston, Texas

Classroom location:  Hotel conference area with no outside or off site travel necessary for training or events.

Entrances: Enter through hotel lobby, to the left past the elevators  between the elevators and the Snack Shop.  There is also an entrance on the East side of the hotel with lots of free parking for those not staying at the hotel or driving in for classes..

All of the events are within the conference area with the evening social hour being held in the Rosegarden Room, located to the right of the Lobby Bar.

Attendees with Marriott points or awards status may be able to gain entrance to the Conceirge Lounge, located on the lobby floor to the left of the revolving doors.

How to get to the event:

The Houston Marriott Westchase is located at 2900 Briarpark Dr. Houston, Texas 77042.

Flights are available into the Houston area by both the George Bush Intercontinental Airport -IAH and by William P Hobby Airport - HOU.

IAH airport is located 32 miles from the hotel and the hotel does not provide a shuttle service.

HOU airport is located 28 miles from the hotel and the hotel does not provide a shuttle service.

Uber appears to be the least expensive means of travel in the area and from both of the airports to the hotel wth varing fees of $27.00 to $31.00 each way..  

There is a Super Shuttle service at the Airport that makes multiple stops and cost Around $31.00 each way.  It is a few dollars cheaper to buy the round trip Super Shuttle service on-line prior to your arrival.

Taxi  fares from IAH airport is around $70.00 each way and from HOU is around $55.00 each way.

There is a bus service from both airports that runs about $27.00 each way and a bus stop is about 2 blocks from the hotel.

Rental cars are available at the airports. There are several toll areas and traffic congestion is extreme in the Houston area.

Driving Directions from IAH Airport:

Follow John F Kennedy Blvd south. Turn right onto Texas 8 Beltway Frontage Rd. Merge onto North Sam Houston Pkwy E W/Sam Houston Tollway W/Texas 8 Beltway W via the ramp on the LEFT. Continue to follow Sam Houston Tollway W for 25.6 miles (partial toll road). Take the exit toward Briar Forest Dr and merge onto Texas 8 Beltway S/West Sam Houston Pkwy S. Travel 0.9 miles and turn left (east) onto Farm to Market 1093 E/Westheimer Rd. Travel 0.6 miles and turn right (south) onto Briarpark Dr. Hotel will be on your right.

Driving Directions from HOU Airport:

Turn left onto Airport Boulevard. Turn left onto Telephone Road. Turn right onto South Sam Houston Pkwy E W/Texas 8 Beltway W. Merge onto Sam Houston Tollway W via the ramp on the LEFT to Texas 8 Beltway W (toll road). Travel 22.6 miles and take the exit toward Westheimer Rd (toll roar). Travel 0.3 miles and merge onto Texas 8 Beltway N/West Sam Houston Pkwy S S. Turn right (east) onto Farm to Market 1093 E/Westheimer. Take the 2nd right onto Briarpark Drive. The hotel will be on your right.

Seminar Admission

- All registration for the seminar will be done on-line through the AAPP website only.  Groups needing special assistance in registration may contact Amanda at the National Office for assistance.   Attendees that fail to register on-line and show At-The Door  will be charged an additional fee and are not garenteed a registration packet (other than a name tag) to ensure that all registered attendees receive their required items first.

-Admission to the classroom and events are by AAPP name tag only.  Guests must be registered with the Attendee and must have their own name tag to be admitted to the events with the registered seminar attendee.  Registered guests are not allowed in the classrooms and may not occupy a seat within any classroom of training.

-Attendees making entrance to the classrooms or events without a  name tag displayed will be asked to leave the event or to retrieve their name tags by any member of the  AAPP Board of Directors or by the assigned AAPP Sergeant at Arms.  This is to ensure the safety of our attendees and we appreciate your cooperation.


- Registration for the seminar is offered at reduced rates for members and for those that register by the cut off date.  Registration after the cut of date and registration for non-members are slightly higher.  Non-members interested in joining AAPP and receiveing the discounted Members Rate must do so before the cut off date.

-The AAPP Registration fee includes ALL of the special events for the week, including the Sunday Night Presidents Reception, the Tuesday Night Special Event and the Thursday Night  Awards Banquet.  Registered attendees may receive beverage tickets upon check in at the AAPP registration table.  These tickets can be used for both the Sunday night event and the Thursday night event.  Please ask your board of directors if the beverage tickets can be used at any other time during the week.

-There is a reduced rate offered at our seminars for our Co-Hosting State Association Members.  This is agreed upon prior to the seminar and is only available to the co-hosting associations members.  If your state association is interested in co-hosting any of our upcoming seminars in the future, please contact your Regional Director.

-Registered Attendees are invited to bring their family and or guest to the hotel.  However, they must ensure that their family members and guests are registered with AAPP to attend any of the special events to attend.  The special events for a guest can f attending all events.  Individual event fees are also available for Guests not attending all events, who only wish to attend one event.  Please see the registration page under the Guest Registration area.

-Each registered attendee will receive a seminar attendance certificate in their registration packet.  This certificate does not document the hours or classes attended while at the seminar.  Therefore all classroom training hours will be reported on the AAPP Blue Sheet which will be on-line for easy completion.  Paper  copies will be available in your registration packet along with a seminar agenda and a yellow opinion sheet.  and your name tag.
