Course Description: This course is specifically for experienced law enforcement Psychophysiological Detection of Deception examiners. The primary emphasis of the course will be on quality control, test data analysis, test question construction, and case review. The techniques that will be studied will include Law Enforcement Applicant Screening and Criminal-Specific Testing. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
  1. Conduct three- and seven-position scoring for test data analysis
  2. Properly construct test questions for screening and specific issue polygraph examinations
  3. Perform proper quality control for polygraph
  4. Conduct law enforcement applicant and specific issue polygraph examinations

*Tuition: $4995. The basic polygraph examiner (400 hours/10 weeks) course is approved and recognized by the American Polygraph Association (APA). This course is designed to prepare the student to conduct valid and reliable polygraph examinations for government agencies or private entities, either as an employee of a public agency or as an independent contractor. These courses are presented in accordance with the policies and standards set forth by the APA.

Description:*Tuition Cost: $750 - This 40-hour (8 hours per day/5 days total) post-conviction sex offender testing (PCSOT) course is approved and recognized by the American Polygraph Association (APA). The course consists of specialized instruction related to conducting proper PCSOT exams, to include Instant Offense, Sexual History I, Sexual History II, and Maintenance examinations. This approved course is presented in accordance with the policies and standards set forth by the APA. Note: Must have successfully graduated from an APA-accredited basic polygraph examiner course prior to attending PCSOT course.

NORTHEAST COUNTERDRUG TRAINING CENTER (NCTC)

The Northeast Counterdrug Training Center (NCTC) Polygraph Institute will be offering two APA accredited basic polygraph classes in 2026 with one class starting in May 2026 and the second in August 2026. This training is free to municipal, county and state law enforcement personnel, and lodging is also free at Ft. Indiantown Gap national guard base.
